At Deer Hill Corporate we believe that group members
and leaders can be most effective when they learn to respect and
embrace the unique skills and perspectives of all members of a team.
Our programs are designed to demonstrate this belief and provide
participants with skills that enable them to practice it in the
workplace. These program objectives are accomplished by providing
participants with opportunities to experience their skills and shortcomings
and improve their skills through active interaction with their team
mates. An expert team of facilitators guides participants through
a variety of interactive exercises and challenges that are carefully
designed for each group with their objectives and unique interpersonal
dynamics in mind.
The Deer Hill Corporate staff has been helping build teams using
experiential learning techniques since 1996. We are affiliated with
Deer Hill Ranch, a 501 © 3 non-profit organization that provides
experiential education programs for youth on a working ranch in
Lafayette, California. Deer Hill Corporate began by providing programs
to members of the business community using the Ranch facilities.
As these facilities have expanded, Deer Hill Corporate has been
able to expand its program offerings to include a large variety
of experiential activities, including a low and high ropes course.
The lawn and indoor facilities at the Ranch have enabled us to offer
excellent venues for teaching in an outdoor setting as well as for
retreats.
MISSION
The mission of Deer Hill Corporate is to empower group
members to fully participate in the activities of their group in
ways that enable the group to reach its full potential. We facilitate
this process through the use of interactive experiences that teach
practical skills and result in lasting change.
STAFF
Deer Hill Corporate was founded by Hunter and Anne
Holding. Both have extensive experience facilitating leadership,
communication and team building programs.
Hunter Holding heads up or team of facilitators.
He has 25 years of experience facilitating teams at companies and
governments. Hunter has over 16 years of experience training and
coaching financial professionals, having worked at JP Morgan, Chemical
Bank and Rabobank International. He holds a BS in Agricultural Economics
from Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia University. Hunter
utilizes his experience in training, outdoor education and ranch
management to create highly innovative and enjoyable team development
programs.
Anne Holding is a highly experienced facilitator.
She is also Program Director for Deer Hill Ranch. Anne holds a BA
in French from Trinity College in Connecticut, is currently pursuing
a Master's Degree in Psychology. After working in New York City
for Bessemer Trust and Trident Television, she began teaching experiential
learning programs in 1994. She especially enjoys studying human
development, personality, temperament and interaction styles. Anne
is a dynamic and engaging teacher who transforms the learning process
into a fun and interactive journey.
In addition to Hunter and Anne, Deer Hill Corporate utilizes a staff
of highly experienced contract facilitators. These facilitators
have backgrounds in a variety of fields, including business, psychology
and education. Although all are well-educated and very experienced,
their most important common characteristic is their passion for
teaching and belief that groups can reach their maximum potential
if they develop skills for effective interaction through experiential
education.
